The second round of the Fortuna League will close on Sunday evening with the match between Bohemians 1905 and Plzeň. While the home team is just getting into the match rhythm at the beginning of the season, it will be the fourth competitive match for Plzeň after the summer break. 

Basic information, news and team form

Bohemia's squad did not undergo many changes over the summer. Only Pulkrab and Vanicek left, so the team's axis remained together. On the other hand, several interesting reinforcements were reported at Bohemians stadion, namely Chramosta, Fulnek, Nový or Kovařík. It's probably not enough to attack the cups, but it would be a surprise if Bohemka had relegation worries in the 21/22 season. In the opening round, the Green and Whites lost quickly to newcomer Hradec, but thanks to a goal by Puskáč, they eventually won their first point of the season for a 1-1 draw. 

At the end of last season, Plzeň made a significant management change and entered the new season under Michal Bílek. He has a clear goal: to return Viktoria to at least the 3rd place in the league and to break through to the Conference Group. Plzeň's roster has been quite busy over the summer: gone are Limberský, Hořava, Ekpai, Ondrášek or Mihálik, while the team has been strengthened by Mosquera, Pachlopník, Ndiaye and the returnees from the away team - Chorý, Pernica and Řezník. The start of the season has been perfect so far: in the league, Viktoria beat Boleslav at home and in Europe, they knocked out Dynamo Brest. All three matches ended with Plzeň winning 2:1.

The home side already missed several injured players against Hradec and most of them will not be available on Sunday either: Hůlka, Jindřišek, Nový or Osmančík are unlikely to start the game. Plzeň doesn't exactly have an empty sick bay either, and it has to take into account a demanding schedule, having played a cup match in Yerevan on Thursday evening. In the following week, Viktoria will travel to Wales to play against TNS.
