Sunday's Ligue 1 programme will open at 13:00 with a clash between fifth-placed Nice and sixth-placed Lyon. While the visitors had a tough European match in Prague during the week, the home side was in full preparation for the highly anticipated game.
Basic information, news and team form
Nice have been confirming their high ambitions since the beginning of the season, but they have not been in best form lately. Last weekend, OGC sensationally fell 0:1 at Troyes, their second loss in their last three away outings. Christophe Galtier's team is doing better at home as Nice haven't lost once in four games in front of their own fans. The home record could have included a win over Marseille, but the third round match could not finish due to riots and the replay is scheduled for Wednesday 27 October.
After an unconvincing start to the season, Lyon have recovered and have started to pick up points in both Ligue 1 and the Europa League. OL can also drop points surprisingly, see for example the draws with Lorient or Saint-Étienne at the end of September and the beginning of October, but Peter Bosz's team can handle the big games. Last weekend, Les Gones beat Monaco 2-0 at home, then on Thursday they turned around the unfavourable result at Sparta and kept their 100% record in the Europa League group with a 4-3 win.
Betdoin's view of the match
The Allianz Riviera stadium will host two teams that have tremendous firepower. Nice and Lyon are both among the best attacking teams in Ligue 1 by most metrics, so the match should offer chances on both sides. It's no surprise that Betdoin's algorithm has included a bet on BTS (both teams to score) among the value picks.

The home team will miss the injured Kluivert, while the start of Bard, who is not yet fully fit, is uncertain. Lyon will still miss strikers Dembele and Slimani, while goalkeeper Lopes returns from suspension.
