Napoli vs Torino: Preview, Free tip & Prediction
16.10.2021 12:00
Napoli surprisingly dominate Serie A without losing a single point after seven rounds. The Partenopei will have another chance to extend their winning streak on Sunday evening against Torino.
Basic information, news and team form
Seven rounds, seven wins, 18 goals scored, 3 goals conceded. Napoli have entered the season in great form and have been rewarded with top spot in the table, which they lead by two points over AC Milan. Luciano Spalletti's team also boasts the league's best defence and second best attack, so the league lead is certainly no accident. Napoli have managed to score at least two goals in all league games, for example in the last round they turned the game at Fiorentina from 0:1 to 2:1. The Partenopei are also scoring goals in the Europa League, but unlike in the domestic competition, they are not picking up wins: after a 2-2 draw at Leicester, they suffered a sensational 2-3 home defeat to Spartak Moscow. However there is no doubt that Napoli's priority this year is Serie A.
Torino hold a solid mid-table position in 11th place after seven rounds. So far, the traditional club seems determined to collect results in pairs: two losses came at the start of the league, followed by two wins and then two draws. In the seventh round, Torino welcomed rivals Juventus, who did not go into the game in ideal form. The home side put in a very solid performance against their famous opponent and created several chances, but failed to defend Locatelli at the end of the game and lost 0-1. Torino only confirmed that they are struggling up front so far this season. On the other hand, the Bulls' defence is working well and is one of the best in the league.
Betdoin's view of the match
Can Napoli maintain their 100% record after the eighth round? Betdoin's algorithm believes so and predicts a smooth win for the home team. However, according to the system, it is mainly the under bets that have value. Napoli's defending is fantastic and they should be confident of a clean sheet against a somewhat poor Torino attack, but the visitors are also very solid defensively. A goal shootout would be a surprise, which is why the system has marked under 3.5 goals in the match as a value bet.
Absentees and estimated line-ups
Napoli will have to do without Petagna, Malcuit and Lobotka, who are all injured. Torino are also dealing with several absences, with Zaza, Pjaca, Verdi and Praet out.
Napoli - estimated line-up:
Meret - Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Koulibaly, Rui - Anguissa, Ruiz, Zielinski - Politano, Osimhen, Insigne
Torino - estimated line-up:
Milinkovic-Savic - Djidji, Bremer, Rodríguez - Singo, Lukic, Mandragora, Aina - Brekalo, Linetty - Sanabria
