Saturday night in the Fortuna Liga will offer a duel between Zlín and Sparta. The home team did not manage to win the derby against Slovácko in the last round, but Sparta is not in ideal form either, having surprisingly drawn to Jablonec a week ago.

Zlín’ season has been going in waves so far. After the initial defeats against Slavia and Ostrava, three wins out of the next four matches came, but after the international break Fastav lost its form again and recorded two more losses in a row. First, they lost to Bohemians 1:3 at home, then last weekend they fell to Slovácko 0:3 in the Moravian derby. After eight rounds, Zlín is 10th in the table, but only three points behind the elite six. Zlín, by the way, is one of the two teams that have not recorded a draw once in this year's Fortuna Liga: while Fastav has a record of 3-0-5, the leader Plzeň is 7-0-1.
Sparta had 16 points after the opening six rounds and enjoyed the top of the table, but as usual, complications came in September. They failed to win a key battle in Plzeň, where they deservedly lost 2-3, drew 0-0 with Brøndby in the Europa League and surprisingly lost points to Jablonec at home last weekend. Sparta took the lead in the 4th minute and everything pointed to a comfortable win, but the home side missed the chance for another goal and instead conceded early in the second half. The final pressure brought more chances, but no goal was scored and ACS did not win at home for the first time this season.

Sparta may not be in ideal form, but they are still expected to earn three points in Zlín.
