After a dramatic advance in the Conference Preliminary Round against TNS, Plzeň will return home. Viktoria has a 100% record in the league, winning all three games so far 2-1. They will be looking to extend this streak against Liberec, who has not been doing well at all at the beginning of the season.

As usual, Slovan's squad has undergone changes over the summer and so far it doesn't look like they are for the better. At the very beginning of the season, Liberec failed to beat Slovácko at home (0:1), when even a powerplay of more than 20 minutes did not help them to score a goal. This was followed by a 0:5 home debacle against Sparta and last weekend a 1:1 draw at the home of newcomer Hradec. Slovan was leading from the 9th minute, but lost Havelka in the first half and in the end could be glad that they managed to get the first point of the season. 

Plzeň has also had its problems at the beginning of the season, but unlike Liberec, it is picking up results. It hasn't lost a point in the league yet and it's also doing well in the Conference League, where this week it made it to the final 4th preliminary round. It was difficult to advance through TNS, however, as Viktoria lost 2:4 away and the home rematch didn't look promising for a long time either. Pilsen was still down 0:1 at half-time, but after the break, they managed to score three goals and take the game into extra time. In the end, they were unable to take advantage of their significant game advantage, but in the end they were able to celebrate their progress thanks to a successful penalty shootout.

Pilsen has not kept a clean sheet once this season. Before the usually difficult trip to Liberec, it's not a good sign, but the fact is that the home team has enough problems in attack.
