Slavia lost their record unbeaten run in the last round, but on Saturday night the Red and Whites can start a new winning streak. Their opponents will be Slovan Liberec, who also tasted defeat in their last game. 

Basic information, news and team form

Slavia's invincibility lasted 54 games before Sparta managed to end it in the beginning of October. The Reds beat Slavia 1-0 in the derby, helped by the sending off of the visiting Ousou at the end of the first half. It was a blow for SKS, but it is definitely not a result that would significantly influence their chances of defending the title. Slavia are 3rd in the table with a five-point loss to the leader Pilsen, but they have a postponed match with Olomouc in hand. However, Jindřich Trpišovský's team would need to get back on a winning streak quickly, and a home game should be the perfect opportunity to do so. 

Liberec had also been building their own little invincibility in recent weeks, but lost it after three games. In the last match before the international break, Slovan lost 0:2 at home to Ostrava, their first loss under manager Luboš Kozel. However, there must be satisfaction with his work so far: the former coach of Dukla and Baník immediately raised the game of Liberec and recorded several valuable results, among which the win in the derby at Jablonec stands out. Thanks to this, Slovan is slowly climbing up the table.

The bookmakers consider Slavia to be a clear favourite and Betdoin's algorithm has a similar opinion, expecting a smooth win for the home team. However, due to the very low odds on Slavia's success, the system sees value mainly in betting on a lower number of goals in the match, which include the under 3.5. Liberec will struggle to assert themselves against a quality Slavia defence, but it would also be a surprise if they were completely thrashed in Eden.
