Sparta vs Hradec Kralove: Preview, Free Tip & Prediction
20.08.2021 14:30
Saturday's programme of the fifth round of the Czech league will be closed by the duel between Sparta and Hradec Králové from 19:00. After being held to a draw last weekend, Sparta will be looking to get back on the winning track against the newcomer.
Basic information, news and team form
Sparta have maintained their 100% league record for three rounds. After wins over Olomouc, Liberec and Karviná, their first obstacle came in the fourth round against Bohemians away where Sparta only managed a 1-1 draw. They were even trailing when Dostál scored at the end of the first half, but after the break Pavel Vrba's team significantly improved and was not far from victory in the end. Sparta has two home games (Hradec and Budějovice) before the international break, so nothing other than 6 points is expected. Especially in a situation where ACS had a week off for the first time in a month.
The newcomer from Hradec Kralove has entered the league very solidly, not losing once in the first three rounds and outplaying all of their opponents. The total of three points for a series of 1:1 draws is ironically disappointing, because Hradec could have doubled the total with a bit of luck. In the last round at Slovácko, the newcomer already recorded the expected first loss, but could have gotten more out of that match as well. The home side played with ten players from the 60th minute and defended a narrow 1:0 lead, but Hradec couldn't break through.
Betdoin's view of the match
Sparta is the clear odds favourite for this match, however Betdoin algorithm's tip is mainly based on the visitors from Hradec Kralove. The system chose Both teams to score as a valuable pick, with the odds being slightly over 2,00. Sparta's defence is slowly improving, but it is still far from a defensive powerhouse that would guarantee a clean sheet. Hradec has dangerous set-pieces and will give everything in the prestigious trip to Letna, so at least one goal scored on each side is definitely worth considering.
Absentees and estimated line-ups
As usual, Sparta will have to deal with quite a few absentees. Dočkal, Hojer, Ladislav Krejčí I and II will definitely miss out due to injury, while Vindheim and Julius are uncertain. Hradec should have pretty much their whole squad at disposal, but no big changes in the line-up are expected.
Sparta - estimated line-up:
Nita - Wisner, Čelůstka, Hancko, Polidar - Pavelka, Sáček - Karlsson, Karabec, Pešek - Hložek
Hradec Králové - estimated line-up:
Fenrich - Mejdr, Donát, Král, Urma - Kodeš, Rada - Prekop, Dvořák, Vlkanova - Vašulín
