The sixth round of Ligue 1 will conclude on Sunday evening with PSG facing Lyon. The Parisians haven't lost a point this season, but they will face their toughest test of the season so far against OL. 

Basic information, news and team form

Five games, five wins, 16:5 score. PSG went through the opening weeks of the league season without mercy, beating Troyes, Strasbourg, Brest, Reims and Clermont. However, the Parisians have benefited from a relatively easy draw, with their opponents either playing in Ligue 2 last season or fighting for survival in Ligue 1. PSG faced their first major challenge this week in the Champions League and failed, drawing 1-1 away to Belgian side Bruges. Most alarming was the fact that the home side was on top for most of the time and Les Parisiens were unable to get into their stride. The star trio Messi, Mbappé, and Neymar started together for the first time ever, but even that didn’t help. The public expects a much better performance from PSG against Lyon. 

Lyon also played European football during the week, winning 2-0 at Glasgow Rangers and successfully entering the Europa League group stage. OL confirmed their growing form with this result, the win in Scotland was their third successful game in a row. The miserable start to the season, which saw Lyon take just two points in three league rounds, seems to be a thing of the past. Les Gones look confident on the pitch, with striker Moussa Dembele playing in great form and summer signings like Emerson, Boateng and Shaqiri finding their feet quickly. Will that be enough for PSG?

Bookmakers expect goals from the match, which is confirmed by the Betdoin algorithm prediction. While the odds for overs and unders are set accurately, the system has found  significant value in the BTS bet (both will score). Both teams have tremendous offensive power, but their defences have not been very convincing in the early season. A clean sheet on either side would be a surprise.

PSG missed key midfielder Verratti against Bruges and he will not be available against Lyon either. Ramos, Bernat and Dagba are also out, while Mbappé, who did not finish the Champions League match due to an ankle injury, is uncertain to start. However, Lyon are also dealing with absentees: Dubois and Kadewere are expected to miss the game, while a question mark hangs over Dembele, who was unable to start against Rangers.
