Torino vs Juventus: Preview, Free tip & Prediction
01.10.2021 16:00
Juventus surprisingly beat Chelsea in the Champions League and recorded their third win in a row. They will have to confirm their improving form in Serie A on Saturday, where they will face their city rivals in the famous Derby della Mole.
Basic information, news and team form
Torino have been picking up results in pairs in the early part of the season. Two losses at the start, then two wins and then draws in the fifth and sixth rounds. All in all, this gives a solid four-match unbeaten streak: the last time Torino lost was at the end of August against Fiorentina. They recovered from that with a 4-0 home win over Salernitana, then beat Sassuolo 1-0 away and then drew 1-1 with Lazio and Venice. Turin last won the derby against Juventus in 2015, so there will be no doubt about the home team's motivation.
A lot has been written about Juventus' miserable start to the season, with the Old Lady experiencing a series of bad results. But the fact is that in September, Allegri's team is slowly returning to the level expected of them even without Ronaldo. In the last five competitive games, Juventus have four wins, with the only stumble coming at home against AC Milan, with whom they only drew 1-1. The Black and Whites are doing well especially in the Champions League, where they have not conceded a single goal in two matches and lead the group with full points. Wednesday's win against Chelsea was not expected at all, but Juventus showed an excellent performance and clearly demonstrated that they are not to be written off.
Betdoin's view of the match
Juventus will go into the derby as favourites, but the home side knows that the Old Lady is still not in ideal form and there is a chance of a surprise. The Betdoin algorithm, like the odds, leans more towards the away side, but the system found value this time mainly in the goal betting. One of them is both to score (BTS) at odds of around 1.75.
Absentees and estimated line-ups
The home team will be missing the suspended Djidji, which could open the way for David Zima, a summer signing from Slavia Prague. Torino will also have to do without Pjaca, Belotti or Praet, who are injured. Juventus will miss Dybala and Morata, while Arthur and Ramsey are still not fit as well.
Torino - estimated line-up:
Milinkovič-Savič - Zima, Bremer, Rodríguez - Singo, Lukič, Mandragora, Aina - Brekalo, Linetty - Sanabria
Juventus - estimated line-up:
Szczesny - Sciglio, Ligt, Bonucci, Sandro - Cuadrado, Bentancur, Locatelli, Rabiot - Chiesa, Kean
